Roll for Plot

Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 1, 2025

This Privacy Policy explains our policies and procedures on the collection, use, and disclosure of your information when you use the Roll for Plot application (the "Service").

The Core Principle: Your Data is Yours

Roll for Plot is designed from the ground up to be a completely client-side application. This means that all the data you create, including your custom tables, table items, and roll history, is stored exclusively in your web browser's local storage.

We do not have a server. We do not collect, view, or have any access to your data. Your data never leaves your computer.

Information We Don't Collect

Since the application is entirely client-side, we do not collect any personally identifiable information (PII). This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Your name, email address, or any other contact information.
  • Your IP address.
  • Any data from your device outside of the application's own local storage.
  • Usage analytics that can be tied back to an individual user.

Data Storage and Security

All data you generate while using Roll for Plot is stored using the localStorage API provided by your web browser. This data persists on your device between sessions. While this is convenient, please be aware of the following:

  • Clearing your browser's cache or site data for Roll for Plot will permanently delete all of your tables and roll history.
  • The security of your data is dependent on the security of your own computer and web browser.

You can export your data at any time using the "Export Tables" feature to create a local backup as a .json file.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
